Karbon is now 'everywhere'

A couple of years ago we had a dilemma - do we support our customers on the fly, wherever they may be? Or do we follow convention and base ourselves at a nice HQ?

At the time, technology could not support our free-spirited vision - broadband was still too slow, file servers were still too fragile and video conferencing was still in its infancy. But times have changed. Technology is now faster, more stable and very secure. Remote working is now very much on the agenda and Karbon is now everywhere.

What have we done? In short, we did it ages ago, but now we're formally announcing it. Essentially all we've done is remove our base at Silverstone and replace it with a 'virtual' office. So now we can be wherever you need us and we're still as effective.

So how do we do it and how is it possible? Well we've actually been doing it for years; analysing the best practices and generally sweeping the market for the best solutions. These solutions have then been implemented into our business - 'Tools' such as video conferencing, on-line proofing, virtual 'cloud' based servers and the like.

Collectively, these tools have enabled us to be in two places at once - out with a client, but also able to access their account info, files and projects, as though we were in the office.

Does it affect how we work? Yes - we're more productive and can squeeze even more out of the day - We've got everything we need wherever we are.

What are the downsides? You need to be organised and you need a good, dependable and robust team. We spend a great deal of time getting to know the people we work with and integrate them to our culture carefully. But other than that, we've not noticed anything different. 

In fact, our recent inclusion on the RAR (Recomended Agency Register) register highlighted that our flexibility was one of the most highly regarded aspects of our company (and quality of work and value of service were rated as excellent too!)
